For those who didn't know, there are 2 types of coats for chows, the most familiar being the rough, and then the "Smoothies". A smooth coated chow should be exactly the same as a rough but without the long Mane and feathering, as seen in the pictures below. They are not really short haired as they still have massive undercoats but the do lack the longer hairs that most are familiar with. These pictured here, are some examples our of our pride and joy. We are especially proud of our smooth lines and seeking to improve as we go. The ones on the left are from our red foundation girl DAME one line the ones on the right are from "STAR". |
